CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ten student-athletes from eight different colleges and universities comprise the 2009-10 North Carolina College Sports Information Directors (NCCSIA) University Division All-State Men’s Basketball Teams released on Wednesday.
The teams consist of student-athletes from North Carolina’s NCAA Division I institutions. Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals. NCCSIA members voted for the all-state teams and teams were selected for men’s and women’s basketball in both the college and university (NCAA Division I) divisions.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Ten student-athletes make-up the 2009-10 North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) University Division All-State Women’s Basketball Team released on Tuesday.
The first team features four players that guided their respective teams to post-season play and another player that garnered league freshman of the year honors. Big South regular-season champion and WNIT participant Gardner-Webb had two student-athletes junior guard Dominique Hudson and senior forward Margaret Roundtree (pictured) on the first team. Senior guard Ta’Wuana “Tweet” Cook of MEAC regular-season champion and WNIT participant North Carolina A&T is also on the first team. Junior guard Shannon McCallum, a 2009 second-team All-State selection, who helped Charlotte earn a WNIT bid and Southern Conference Freshman of the Year Elon’s Ali Ford round out the first team.

Charlotte, N.C. – Wingate’s volleyball players wrapped up three of the six spots on the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association’s 2009 All-State Volleyball Team, college division. The remaining three spots were filled by student-athletes from three other institutions.
The Wingate Bulldogs three award winners include sophomore setter Liz Willis, a Daktronics Southeast Region Second Team player, junior outside hitter Lauren Billo, an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American honorable mention player and a Daktronics Southeast Region First Team member, and last but not least junior middle hitter/blocker Stormi Gale. Gale (pictured) has amassed numerous awards from the 2009 season including AVCA All-American Third Team, South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year and the Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year and First Team member.
